About Juan
Introducing Juan Agustin de la Arena, Strength and Conditioning Coach, Level 3 Trainer at Fitness Playground Surry Hills.
Juan is a professional strength and conditioning coach with a think-outside-the-box approach. He has more than 10 years of experience practicing sports from martial arts to bodybuilding. He’s trained and taught everyone from the general population to pro athletes. No matter who the client is, he can teach them to unleash their true potential through quality movement.
He’s serious about the science behind training, is committed to constant development and always seeking to learn from the experts around him. On the other hand, he loves to joke around. You’ll hear his extremely loud laugh from across the gym.

Training Philosophy
My philosophy is that you must fall in love with the process. Sometimes training involves doing the same movements repeatedly until you master them to conquer your weaknesses. However, every single conquer becomes more enjoyable if you can see the value behind that goal achieved. To be disciplined is hard, we all know that, but you will find the fulfilment of making it happen once you get there.
