If my training philosophy could be summed up into one word, it would have to be “‘BASICS”. Practice the basics and get really good at them. This will build you a good foundation that will not only get you strong and fix injuries but also help to reduce the risk of reinjury somewhere down the line.

3 Fun Facts
  1. My Dad’s side of the family is Kiwi and my uncle was the captain of the New Zealand All Blacks in the 80s.
  2. Growing up I played a lot of Rugby Union but after far too many injuries and a few years away from sports I had a complete change, and now I train as an amateur boxer, with the goal of moving into the professional ranks in the future.
  3. My very first job was working at Boost Juice In Newtown when I was 14. I got paid $9 an hour on a Sunday because apparently my boss paid a “higher average wage” instead of the standard weekend rates. I believe I did 3 shifts.
